  Album Update

Ian has appeared bleary-eyed from the studio, and realised it’s
winter.  The results though are good.  4-5 more new songs since the
last update. As a result the album is now on a home run.  It will be
called ‘Successor’ and will be out in the shops and available for
download in March.

One of the new songs will also be a launch single.  More news in January.

To see you through until then we have temporarily put a demo of one of
the new songs up on myspace

New Single Ian M. Hale

Ian launches his new single ‘Loss’ in the UK on 18 May.

‘Loss’ is the first single to be released since Ian’s critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Greetings from San Francisco’.

To support the launch Ian and the band will be playing an exclusive live pre-release gig at The Queen of Hoxton on 29 April 2009, 8.00pm.

Ian’s debut singles ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ and ‘San Francisco’ received airplay on XFM and BBC 6 Music amongst other stations, achieved ‘Record of the Week’ in at least one significant industry magazine, followed by an XFM live session in January.

‘Loss’ is one of a number of songs already recorded for Ian’s eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Successor’, out in November.

The finished version has just gone up on myspace so you can take a sneak listen, and will be available as a 3-track single package from iTunes and also available to buy on CD in a number of record stores including Rough Trade and Sister Ray.

  San Francisco

Ian’s second single ‘San Francisco’ was released on February 2nd 2009.
Like its predecessor, Don’t Say You Love Me, the song is taken from Ian’s debut EP ‘Greetings From San Francisco’.

Both the EP and single are available on Ian M. Hale - Greetings from San Francisco - EP - Don't Say You Love Me. Or click here and take a listen on myspace

Don't Say You Love Me

Ian’s debut single Don’t Say You Love Me was launched in November 2008.

The record received airplay on XFM and BBC 6 Music, amongst other stations, and was promoted by a one-off exclusive gig played at the Troubadour Club.

The single achieved ‘Record of the Week’ in the industry magazine Hitsheet, and was also promoted in NME.

As a result of the success of the track Ian has been invited with the band to record a live session for XFM , on the ‘X-posure’ show hosted by John Kennedy.

Don’t Say you Love Me is available on Ian M. Hale - Greetings from San Francisco - EP - Don't Say You Love Me. Or click here and take a listen on myspace.

XFM

Ian and the band played an exclusive live session for XFM.

The session was broadcast on the John Kennedy Show on Thursday 29 January.

The live version of Don’t Say You Love Me from the session is on the myspace site.

News

The band have been in the studio, writing and working on material for the forthcoming album, ‘Successor’, which is planned for November.

If we have any demo’s completed that Ian is happy with (always a tall order!) we may pop something up between now and then on the band's myspace
